The California Art Club, established in 1909, is the western United States’ largest professional art organization with over 2000 members.
In 1999, the California Art Club Gallery was established in El Molino Viejo's converted Granary Room. The CAC maintains an on-going exhibit of excellent work for sale by acclaimed artists. The Old Mill Foundation is grateful to receive a portion of the proceeds from sales of these beautiful paintings.
The current exhibition is “The American Road Trip” featuring artwork from juried artists of the California Art Club. The American Road Trip commemorates both the 175th anniversary of California statehood and the 250th anniversary of the United States by showcasing works that evoke the textures, colors, and moods encountered along a cross-country drive. This journey will invite viewers to reflect on how the open road celebrates the country’s diversity, its shared histories, and the fleeting, nostalgic moments found between destinations. This exhibit will be displayed from May 14th, 2026 - October 4th, 2026.
The California Art Club pays tribute to its founding members and the California Impressionist movement they inspired. The organization's early artists influenced the first purely Californian art movement, as they painted scenic vistas of the Golden State's natural beauty. Today's artists are employing the same classical techniques, as they create works that not only continue to showcase awe-inspiring landscapes, but also present thought-provoking images from daily life.
The California Art Club Gallery is open to the public from 11am-2pm, Tuesday through Sunday.
