As an architectural landmark and an accredited arboretum, The Old Mill has the opportunity and responsibility to acknowledge that this organization is located on the historical homelands of Indigenous communities. This Land Acknowledgement is intended to honor and respect those peoples and recognize their enduring relationship to this land.

Our Land Acknowledgement:
The Old Mill, El Molino Viejo, exists on the ancestral and unceded lands of the Gabrielino-Tongva and Kizh Nation peoples who continue to call this region home. The Old Mill respectfully acknowledges these Indigenous peoples as the traditional caretakers of this landscape, as the direct descendants of the First People. The Old Mill recognizes their continued presence and is grateful to have the opportunity to work and foster artistic, educational and community programs on this land.
